Technology-Supported Learning
Liberate stands for Linkage, Inspiration, Broadening, Experimentation, Roleplay, Awareness, Teamwork, and Evaluation. Liberate provides a systemic and synergistic approach to enhance outcome of liberal studies and other subjects (visual arts, music, design and technology, computer, literature, social science) through a cross-disciplinary and bilingual collaboration platform for potential and creativity development in secondary school.
Liberal Studies Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration Platform for Potential and Creativity Development (Project Leader: HKD$2,500,000, EMB/QEF/2005/0546, Quality Education Fund, Education Commission, managed 5 staff members, 2006-2008)

Interactive Landscape Planning System
As part of my PhD study supported by the Japanese Monbugakusho Scholarship in Japan (1998-2001), I have developed a series of interactive applications. These applications enable users from different walk of life to participate in the design process and create alternatives in a distributed environment. This gives roads to an autonomous process in environmental design. Details of these applications and relevant journal and conference publications are included in previous posts.IRSA2 - Interactive Rendering System for Animated Assessment
Based on DirectX and animation technology, I have developed a multimedia-based Interactive Rendering System for Animated Assessment. Simulation of moving architecture and transiting landscape are possible.
IRSCP - Interactive Rendering System for Cost Planning
Based on DirectX and database technology, I have developed an Interactive Rendering System for Cost Conscious Collaborative Design. Initial and life cycle cost can be estimated.
IRSCD - Interactive Rendering System for Collaborative Design
Based on DirectX and game technology, I have developed a VR-based Interactive Rendering System for Collaborative Design.
ICPS - Interactive Colour Planning System
Based on half-tone technology, I have developed a two-dimensional graphics-based Interactive Colour Planning System (ICPS). Cost-effective real-time colour simulation with materialistic solidity is possible.
ITAS - Interactive Townscape Assessment System
Based on Dynamic HTML, I have developed a uni-dimensional text-based Interactive Townscape Assessment System (ITAS) for psychometric analysis. Tools for Analytic Hierarchical Process, Magnitude Estimation, Semantic Differential and Colour Semantic Differential are developed.
